FLYING COMPANION SEMINAR

For people who fly in small aircraft, either for recreation with their family and friends, or professionally for business, the Flying Companion Seminar, will provide the background you need to understand and enjoy flying.

This seminar is designed for the non-pilot spouse, friend, or business traveler who would like to learn more about flying and become a more comfortable, helpful passenger, especially in an emergency situation.

During this information packed, interactive seminar, participants will receive instruction in the following areas:

  • LEARN WHY & HOW THE AIRPLANE FLIES
  • HOW TO READ AN AVIATION CHART
  • WHO TO TALK TO ON THE RADIO
  • HOW TO NAVIGATE TO WHERE YOU WANT TO GO
  • WHAT TO DO IN AN EMERGENCY
  • SAFETY TIPS, AND MUCH MORE

A Certification of Completion will be presented at the end of the course. Cost is $49.50 per person (all classroom supplies included). Space is limited and advance registration is required.

Fly In Attendees & Links

You can fly into Pierce County/ Thun Field with your own plane! In 2010 the shuttle van from Pierce County Airport went Saturday and Sunday beginning at 8:30 am on Saturday; and 9:30 am on Sunday.
